Branding, editorial, illustration and cover imagery for Salient (2020): Victoria University of  Wellington’s award-winning weekly student publication. Salient covers a range of topics from social and cultural issues to politics affecting students and young people. It is offered in print and digital.

Directing the publications’ visual identity allowed me to hone my skills in editorial design and illustration. 
Using brand guidelines and a narrative-driven strategy, it was crucial to be conceptually flexible while maintaining coherence under strict deadlines.

Working closely with different cultural groups, stakeholders and suppliers on Salient, my proficiency in inclusive and effective communication was instrumental in shaping a dynamic publication with a weekly reach of 16,000 individuals.
